According to the statistics of Ministry of Finance of Japan, Japan’s ferroalloy import volume was 149,110 mt in June, down by 11.2% Y-O-Y. In 1H of 2013, the total import volume was 789,262 mt, down by 3.9% Y-O-Y. The main imported ferroalloys were HC ferrochrome, Ferrosilicon (Si>55%) and silicon manganese. The import volumes in June were 81,166 mt,32,591mt and 15,538 mt. The import volumes in 1H of 2013 were 318,834 mt,216,878 mt and 126,152 mt.
Japan’sferroalloy export volume was 17,024 mt in June, 2013, slightly by 1% Y-O-Y. In 1H of 2013, the total export volume was 110,806 mt, down by 4% Y-O-Y. The main exported ferroalloy commodity was ferronickel,and the export volume in June was 15,433 mt and the total export volume in 1H of 2013 was 102,091 mt.
